I have found purpose in my later years, not in things like politics or sports, but in loving people where they are in life, regardless. I’ve found this kind of love is not only fulfilling, but the purest form of love, free of prejudice and jealousy. It’s the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. It saved my life, literally. It must be divine, because I know God is love. As humans we fall short at times, but love is healing. It’s mysterious, it’s beautiful if you witness it without yourself getting in the way or the distractions this world has to offer. What I’ve found on my journey is a deep contentment.
